So I love Google Maps Street View - so much in fact that I have
two blogs devoted to it. But since those blogs focus on particular cities, I thought I'd put this one here instead. I've been scouting around the world - well, not 'around the world' at all so much as around the particular places where Google Maps Street View currently exists. I've selected screenshots of 25 McDonald's restaurants in 25 different cities. It's a testament to McDonald's global reach, but it doesn't even scratch the surface - there is only one picture here from Africa and only one from South America. Most of these are from Europe. I tried to pick unusual communities - for example, I picked certain far-northern communities and certain seaside communities. But I wish I could have showed the truly global reach of McDonald's a little better. As Google expands their service, though, I'll add more...

A few quick notes for the sake of clarification: Alice Springs is a community in Northern Territory, Australia. Lulea is in Sweden, Anchorage in Alaska and Whitehorse in Yukon Territory - three far-north communities. The Niagara Falls here is the one in Ontario. Tijuana and Mexico City are in Mexico, Nice is in France and Pamplona is in Navarre, Spain. Dublin is in Ireland, Liverpool in England, and Hiroshima is in Japan. Taipei is in Taiwan, Christchurch is in New Zealand, Johannesburg is in South Africa and Taipei is in Taiwan.
The true global reach of McDonald's can be seen in this terrifying map from Wikipedia. Be afraid, be very afraid...
